Blind School

The building which houses the Eye Hospital also houses a school for the blind children. I worked on this side of the building with the women from the CICD ~Community Intervention for Children with Disabilities most of the time. I always got lots of smiles and hand shakes from these beautiful children!
Amazing blind children! The boys have the traditional Pakistani hat on, and the girls have a Hunza hat on.

Some of the staff of the Blind school and Eye Hospital.

Staff on lunch break. Two of the staff are blind themselves.

He was the most amazing guy ever. I would hear him singing "This is the day" during lunch break. It always made me smile and remember, "Yes, this is the day that the Lord has made. I WILL rejoice and be glad in it!"

Blind children singing

Here are the words to the song:

We welcome you
We welcome you
And we come to dance
And we come to dance
And dance in the middle
And dance in the middle
We welcome all of you
We welcome all of you
We welcome all of you
Thank you!
